Yuki Ikenobo has taken Buddhist vows (her Buddhist name will be "Senko"), and as Ikenobo Headmaster Designate she will in the future be the 46th Generation Ikenobo Headmaster. In the Ikenobo Junior Colleges, she is currently President of the Ikenobo Ochanomizu Institute in Tokyo.

As Headmaster Designate she makes every possible effort to promote ikebana, displaying her work and participating in Ikenobo Headquarters and other events both in Japan and abroad.

In the year 2000, she participated in a collaborative exhibit entitled "Imagination, Beyond Time," with Japanese painter Senju Hiroshi and potter Takahiro Kondo. In March 2004 she received the New Artist Award from the City of Kyoto. Also in 2004, exhibitions centering on her work and including other Ikenobo members were held in Fukuoka in April, and Tokyo in September.

In April, 2005, at the Japanese Government guest house in Kyoto, she presented a demonstration for wives of Asian foreign ministers attending the ASEM conference. In October, 2006, she displayed ikebana at Shimogamo Shrine in Kyoto, for a music festival in conjunction with the UNESCO World Heritage program. In November, 2007, she presented a demonstration at the Ikebana International Ninth World Convention in Tokyo. In January, 2007, she assumed the post of Vice President of the Japan Ikebana Art Association.
