 Ikenobo Karachi Study Group organized an Exhibition of Ikebana titled "Celebration" from February 9 to 13, 2012 at Hotel Ramada Plaza. This event was jointly organized by Ikenobo Karachi Study Group, Consulate General of Japan, Karachi and Hotel Ramada Plaza to commemorate the 550th Anniversary of Recorded History of Ikenobo Ikebana and the 60th Anniversary of Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Pakistan and Japan.
The Inauguration Ceremony was held on February 9. Ms. Shazai Marri, Minister for Information, Government of Sindh was invited to be the Chief Guest. Ms. Shazai Marri, Mr. Masaharu Sato, Consul General of Japan, Karachi and Mr. Junaid Ashraf, General Manager, Hotel Ramada Plaza and Prof. Asifa Ataka, President of Ikenobo Karachi Study Group gave speeches in the Ceremony.
About 200 distinguished guests including media attended the Inauguration Ceremony and it was aired by many TV channels. There were 3500 visitors came to see the Exhibition. The event was a huge success and after the event Hotel Ramada Plaza requested Ikenobo Karachi Study Group to organize the same kind of event in near future.
