 The Ikenobo San Gabriel Valley California Chapter celebrated its Grand Opening and Floral Art Exhibition on September 5, 2010 at the San Gabriel Hilton Hotel. The chapter arranged and exhibited more than 40 Ikenobo arrangements. The display room was crowded with many visitors including the young generations, and both newspaper and TV media.
Ikenobo Headquarters Special Visiting Professor Masakazu Nakamura and the Managing Director of Ikenobo Ikebana Society of America Ms. Nobu Kurashige were invited to the opening and exhibition. Professor Nakamura gave a live demonstration with a screen projecting a close-up to make a clear view of every technique and skill. The Grand Opening was successful. Near 1000 attendees from the public sector came to enjoy the opening and exhibition.
The Ikenobo San Gabriel Valley California Chapter offers daily classes and regular workshops as well as special events in holiday season.
