Ikenobo South America Chapter participated in the 8th World Water Forum from 18th to 20th March 2018 in Brasilia, Brazil. At the venue of the Forum, Japan Pavilion, Mrs. Sumiko Abe and Mrs. Kazue Takada presented two ikebana arrangements and introduced Ikenobo ikebana to the media and local people through ikebana demonstrations.
Mrs. Abe and Mrs. Takada emphasized that Ikenobo especially focuses on water because it is the source of life and also expressed that people arrange Ikenobo ikebana try to show the brilliance of every period of life by plants. The audiences were attracted by the deep meaning of Ikebobo’s philosophy.
On 20th March, His Imperial Highness the Crown Prince of Japan visited Japan Pavilion and also viewed the Ikebana arrangements.
