Ikenobo Colorado Chapter (USA) have held the chapter exhibition in Boulder, Colorado at Main Public Library Gallery from November 19-20, 2021. The theme of the exhibition is “Power of Nature”. The Japanese have long relied on the “Power of Nature for its restorative effect on the mind and body. The exhibition was presented so attendees could feel the power of Nature (Shizen no Chikara) and help them recuperate from the world pandemic.

 

Members of Ikenobo Colorado Chapter completed over 50 flower works that were displayed with Edo period Kakejiku. Special Guest artists also included works of Haiku, Calligraphy, Suiseki, Kusamono, Kokedama, Chidai, Ohara, and Enshu arrangements. Special thanks to the Japan America Society’s Japan Outreach Initiative coordinator for creating beautiful and inspirational Kanji for attendees to take home. The exhibition had record attendance and many thousands of people felt restored and encouraged by the beautiful Ikenobo arrangements.
