Mr. Sen’ei Ikenobo (the Head Priest of Rokkakudo Temple and the Headmaster of Ikenobo) and Mrs. Senko Ikenobo (the Vice Priest of Rokkakudo Temple and the Headmaster Designate of Ikenobo) offered chrysanthemum Shoka arrangements to the Buddhist alter at Rokkakudo Temple on 17th April 2020.

 

The Flower Offering was held to memory the people who lost their lives in the COVID-19 infection and pray for a rapid end of the outbreak.

 

From ancient time, Rokkakudo Temple is the place that people come to give their praying for health and suffering of life. The Headmaster gave the following comment for the Flower Offering this time.

 

“The World is now facing the crisis of COVID-19 infection and our lives have been greatly changed because of the outbreak. Our hearts are attacked by the invisible threat and monstrous fear. As a priest and a person arranging ikebana, I should arrange and offer ikebana with my sincere praying for the serious disaster. “
