Each year the Ikenobo Colorado Chapter hosts a Grand Exhibition. The Celebration of Ikenobo Ikebana is sponsored by the City of Boulder, Colorado Arts Council, and the Colorado Chapter is privileged to be the only organization to use the juried Public Art Space year after year.
The Library Board reports it is one of the most popular events to be held at the Library. This year, guest designers were invited to participate the show from the Ohara, Chico, Enshu, Sangetsu, and Sogetsu to foster goodwill and harmony in the Boulder Ikebana Community.
About 2,300 people attended the show and the demonstration had a standing room only crowd of over 110 people. The Colorado Chapter is so pleased to be able to bring Ikenobo to the mountains and people of Colorado.
