The 21st Special Exhibition Harmony of Flowers and Vessel 2023 ‘Western Space Colored by Seven Schools of Ikebana’ (Organized by Yokohama Yamate Western-style House Harmony of Flowers and Vessel Executive Committee) held from June 3rd to 11th. It held at the Yokohama Yamate Western-style building in Kanagawa Prefecture, and the Headmaster Designate presented her work and demonstration during the exhibition.

 

 

The seven ikebana schools’ (Ikenobo, Ryuseiha, Sogetsu, Misho-ryu, Koryu Shoohkai, Ohara, Ichiyo) Headmaster or Headmaster Designate displayed their works in different western building with unique vessel.

 

 

The Headmaster Designated displayed the ikebana work at ‘Diplomat’s House’ and exhibited a total of 17 ikebana works from large to small pieces with the theme of ‘Encounter’. The vessels were selected to have patterns such as flowers and birds drawn on them, and works were arranged in which the vessels and ikebana were mutually utilized. During the 9 days of the exhibitions, more than 13,000 visitors.

 

 

On the first day of the exhibitions, the headmaster designate demonstration a Shoka Shinfutai with the theme of ‘Connecting’ by using the rose, which the city flower of Yokohama.
