Those who love Ikenobo ikebana know when they take each branch and leaf in hand that it is wholly unique. They know that when they feel the future in each dewy bud that ikebana is not just a hobby. They know ikebana holds profound ideas.
Now, while the Osaka, Kansai Expo 2025 theme of “Designing Future Society for Our Lives” is being so celebrated, is the perfect time to look deeply at the beauty of life, the source of everything. Now is the time to take that fundamental concept of Ikenobo ikebana and express our hope for the future in a vase.
In this time with information overflowing around us, we hope that this exhibition can help you connect to the abundance at the core of life.
At this exhibition you can see large works by the 45th Headmaster Ikenobo Sen’ei, the Headmaster Designate Ikenobo Senko, and the Youth Assoc. Representative Ikenobo Senshu on display, as well as over 300 works by local floral artists active around Kyushu. We will also be recreating works from our “Transitions” exhibition that happened in Spring this year at the Expo.
Take your time and take in ikebana works making the first steps towards Autumn.
