Ikebana is one of the traditional and life cultures in Japan. Ikenobo has been developing its philosophy and skills and handed down it from generation to generation.

 

The “Ikenobo Spring Exhibition” brings together approximately 800 ikebana arrangements by Ikebana artists studying at the Ikenobo Central Institute of Ikebana, the highest educational institution for ikebana, including the 45th Generation Headmaster, Ikenobo Sen’ei, and the Headmaster Designate, Ikenobo Senko.

 

The exhibits will change between the first half (March 13th and 14th) and the second half (March 15th and 16th). You can enjoy a wide variety of ikebana arrangements.

Eligibility: Registered members of Ikenobo Society of Floral Art

  • ● Chuken-sai Prize

 

Current students and alumni of Ikenobo Central Institute of Ikebana will vote to choose their “favorite ikebana” from among the arrangements on display in the Tokubetsu-ka section on the 7th floor of the WEST18 Building. The Chuken-sai Prize will be decided in two parts, one for the first half and one for the second half.

 

Announcements: The results will be posted on the Ikenobo website around 8pm on Friday, March 13th for the first half and on Sunday, March 15th for the second half. They will also be displayed in the Tokubetsu-ka section.

 

Information about Nihon Kadosha (8th Floor Store)

 

During the “2026 Ikenobo Spring Exhibition,” the Nihon Kadosha store on the 8th floor of the Ikenobo Headquarters Building will host a special exhibition of ikebana by Ikenobo Central Institute of Ikebana professors, as well as special sales and campaigns. The store will also be holding a “Spring Vase Market,” featuring a wide selection of exquisite vases collected from potteries across Japan. Please come to visit the store!
